President Peskin proposed a package of targeted amendments to the ordinance clarifying ministerial approval for certain accessory dwelling units (ADUs). The proposed changes would (1) retain a two‑ADU limit in hybrid ADU provisions to steer more ADUs to the local program, (2) make California Register‑eligible properties explicitly eligible in the historic designation language, and (3) add a 60‑day approval timeline for the local program to increase its appeal compared with state programs.
