Committee approves CBD annual report and forwards settlements, then adjourns
Summary
The committee forwarded the Central Market CBD 2014 annual report to the Board with a positive recommendation, moved several legacy and housing items for follow-up, and — in closed session — unanimously voted to forward three settlement items (items 6–8) to the full Board with a positive recommendation.
The Government Audit and Oversight Committee considered several shorter items at the meeting. The committee received the Central Market Community Benefit District 2014 annual report from OEWD (Chris Korgas) and its executive director Tracy Everwein and agreed to forward the resolution to the full Board with a recommendation.
Later in the meeting the committee convened in closed session to consider settlement and litigation items related to unlitigated claims and the January 25, 2016 landslide. Deputy City Attorney John Givner reported that during closed session the committee voted unanimously to pass items 6, 7 and 8 to the full Board with a positive recommendation.
The committee then reconvened in open session, instructed non-disclosure of the closed-session discussion, and adjourned.
