Controller Greg Wagner appeared before the Rules Committee Oct. 7 to seek appointment to the Treasury Oversight Committee. Wagner referenced the City Administrative Code and California Government Code sections that designate the controller’s role on the board.
Supervisor Safae voiced an objection on the record but the committee had no public commenters on the nomination. Chair Walton moved to delete the word 'rejecting' from the motion language and recommend approval; the motion passed without objection and the nomination was forwarded to the full Board as a positive recommendation.
