Committee forwards appointment of Supervisor Rafael Mandelman to state counties association
The Rules Committee moved Oct. 25, 2021 to send to the full Board a motion appointing Supervisor Rafael Mandelman to the California State Association of Counties (term ending 12/01/2022) so he can represent local interests, passing the motion 2–0 with Mandelman excused from the vote.

The Rules Committee on Oct. 25 voted to send to the full Board of Supervisors a motion appointing Supervisor Rafael Mandelman to the California State Association of Counties (CSAC) for a term ending Dec. 1, 2022. Chair Aaron Peskin said the appointment would allow the supervisor to advocate against state preemption of local government authority.
