The committee recommended appointments to multiple advisory bodies (CPAC, Rec & Park, OCII) and continued the mayor's Police Commission nomination and Immigrant Rights Commission appointments for one week to allow procedural and vetting questions to be resolved.
At its Feb. 22 meeting the Rules Committee handled a slate of personnel matters alongside the SF RISE item. The committee recommended several mayoral and supervisor appointments to advisory bodies and took procedural action on two contentious nominations.
The committee voted to recommend Jerry Yang for appointment to the Child Care Planning and Advisory Council (CPAC) with a residency waiver after Yang spoke about his 25 years in early childhood work.
