Supervisor Malia Cohen convened a hearing to examine coordination between SFMTA technical and implementation teams and the process used to permit stationless bike share in San Francisco. Cohen said her office had received complaints from multiple operators who felt communications and the selection process were inadequate and asked SFMTA to explain how it determined Jump (Social Bicycles) to be the suitable operator for an 18‑month e‑bike pilot.
