The committee recommended a resolution to recognize the Portola neighborhood as San Francisco’s Garden District and to support implementation of the Portola Green Plan. Supervisor David Campos introduced the resolution, thanked neighborhood stakeholders and described the area's history as a former local source of cut flowers and family-owned greenhouses. He asked the committee to forward the resolution with a positive recommendation to the full board.
