The Rules Committee recommended four candidates — Liz Jackson Simpson, Winnie Yu, Cheryl Davis and Doug Parrish — to the Workforce Investment Community Advisory Committee after a day of applicant presentations, public support for community-connected nominees and discussion about residency waivers.

Chair Supervisor Kim opened the meeting and called Item 1 to consider four appointments to the Workforce Investment Community Advisory Committee. After hearing ten applicants describe their workforce experience, the committee recommended Liz Jackson Simpson, Winnie Yu, Cheryl Davis and Doug Parrish to the Board of Supervisors.
