The city’s SPLOST (Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax) committee updated the council on June 30, outlining a timeline and preliminary assumptions as the county prepares a proposed SPLOST program. Staff reported a draft project list must be submitted to the county by Oct. 1, 2025. County- and city-led public information and input meetings are planned for January and February 2026, and the county’s board is scheduled to approve a final project list and IGAs with cities in April–May 2026; cities must return signed IGAs by mid-June 2026.
