Local developer, county plan financing stack for Delton housing effort

The board is also pursuing a Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) 'My Neighborhood' grant that Bassett said could provide about $1,500,000 for infrastructure such as roads and electrical work, which the developer will need to build the project.
Bassett described the initiative as a grassroots effort involving local partners and said the county and local organizations, including the Barry County Chamber of Commerce and the Barry Community Foundation, are coordinating to support affordability. He said the project may return to the board for approvals related to funding or development assistance.
