Senate approves Kratom Consumer Protection Act requiring lab testing and labeling

Senator Bramble introduced first substitute Senate Bill 58, titled the Kratom Consumer Protection Act, saying the measure requires kratom in its pure form to be lab-tested, certified and labeled before it can be sold to consumers. "This is called the Kratom Consumer Protection Act because it requires, kratom, in its pure form to be lab tested, certified, and labeled before it's sold to consumers," the sponsor told the Senate.
