The Utah State Senate on Feb. 8 adopted SJR 1, a joint resolution recognizing American Sign Language educators and the role of ASL in Utah classrooms. Sponsor Senator Iwamoto described a personal connection to ASL through his daughter's coursework and highlighted Skyline High School's ASL program and teacher Jody Lynn Tully.
