Senators debated a substituted version of Senate Bill 154 on Feb. 27 that incorporates technical changes requested by stakeholders and clarifies the authority and duties of the Utah Communications Authority (UCA). Sponsor Senator Harper described the substituted bill as a cleanup of prior work and said it "clarifies the definition of public safety answering point" and adjusts board provisions for effectiveness.
