Lewiston council outlines capital projects, year-end budget gains and cemetery plans

Council members reviewed upcoming capital projects — ballroom floor replacement, sports court sealing, chip seal and cemetery sprinkler/addition — noted about $164,000 more in FY24 tax revenue than budgeted and discussed using the cemetery perpetual care fund for cemetery capital work.

Speaker 1, presiding official, told the council the city faces several near-term capital projects and reported FY24 year-end budget highlights. “We ended up bringing in about a hundred and $64,000 more in taxes, general use and sales tax, than we budgeted for,” Speaker 1 said, adding the city will circulate budget adjustments for review.
