Senator McGee told the Senate Judiciary Committee that House Bill 1424 is a one-page measure intended to codify a routine clerks’ request and to allow requesters to seek court approval for that purpose. "I was informed that most clerks request this anyway," Senator McGee said. "This just puts it in statute. Request the approval of a court for this purpose."
