Senate education committee gets study update; APA team reports 200+ district responses and stakeholder plan

APA consultants told the Senate Education Committee they received more than 200 district responses to a July survey, will hold educator panels after Labor Day and will share a gold-sheet timeline of August–December study deliverables. Members pressed for race, gender and regional breakdowns and asked how parent samples will be made representative.

The Senate Education Committee heard an update on a statewide adequacy study, including survey results and a stakeholder engagement plan presented by Justin Silverstein of APA Consulting. Silverstein told the committee the project will pair short video presentations with live Zoom Q&A and had ‘‘received over 200 district responses, which we think is really good’’ for the mid‑July district survey.
