DHS updates nursing‑facility cost manual: occupancy, equipment cap and per‑bed value changes set for Aug. 1

DHS presented multiple cost‑reporting manual updates for skilled nursing facilities including three per‑bed categories to incentivize private/semi‑private rooms, moving rebasing to annual, increasing the minor equipment cap from $500 to $2,500 (to be reviewed), and a temporary minimum occupancy reduction to 65%, rising 5% annually back toward 75%.
