The Harrison County Commissioners Court approved moving forward with plans and specifications for improvements to Hangar No.10 at the Harrison County Airport.
The presiding officer said the hangar’s lessee, identified in the record as Central Jet Services and represented by Mr. Aiello, has torn down the older hangar and intends to rebuild a new hangar on the same footprint. The court approved submission to Harris County Commissioners Court for review and to ensure the work is compatible with existing hangars under the county’s 35-year lease with the lessee. The motion passed unanimously.
Separately, the court discussed an agreement with Motorola to equip the Smyrna tower but deferred action until the last meeting of the year to allow staff to compile complete information. The presiding officer said the Motorola item would appear at the December 31 meeting with the required materials.
No votes opposed either action; the hangar item was approved and the Motorola agreement was deferred.
