County awards property tax collection system contract recommended by purchasing agent

Purchasing Agent Darla Haynes told the court the recommended vendor “met all the requirements that we set forth,” and she recommended accepting the bid. Commissioners moved and seconded the award; the motion passed unanimously.
The presiding officer noted the selected software is the same system used by HCAD, which the court said would align county processes with that system. The county packet included vendor documentation and the Purchasing Agent said the Purchasing Office recommended acceptance at this time.
The court recorded no dissent and approved the contract by voice vote. Implementation steps, timeline and contract value were not specified in the meeting record and should be confirmed in the contract files.
