Records fees: The court approved plans to collect the $10 records management and preservation fee for both the county clerk and the district clerk offices. County staff confirmed the fees are established practice and supported continued collection.
Soil stabilization procurement: Road & Bridge staff told commissioners that an advertised solicitation for quicklime, pebble lime and powder lime drew no responsive bids. Staff requested authority to purchase the required materials to avoid delaying active road stabilization work. The court authorized purchase under emergency/sole-source rationale while directing staff to seek best pricing and document the procurement, and approved the motion unanimously.
Audit engagement: The court approved an engagement letter with KML to perform external audit services for the fiscal year ending 2024; the engagement motion passed by unanimous voice vote.
What to expect: Road & Bridge will report vendor and price information to the court at a follow-up meeting; the auditor engagement and records-fee collections will proceed per statutory requirements.
