Zoning panel recommends Item 3 after removing 'grass parking' condition

The Palm Beach County Zoning Commission on Dec. 5 recommended approval of Item 3 — a development order amendment — after voting to delete a staff condition requiring grass or pervious‑paver parking on the southern portion of the property.

Kelly Smallridge, president and CEO of the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County, spoke during public comment in favor of the project (identified in the record as “Project Hotel”), saying the proposal fits the county’s economic development strategy and would bring quality manufacturing jobs and capital investment to the county.

Commissioner Curran moved to recommend approval of Item 3A and 3B with the removal of parking condition 1; the motion was seconded and commissioners voted in favor, passing the motion and deleting the grass‑parking restriction. The commission recorded the vote as passing; no final Board of County Commissioners hearing outcome was decided at this meeting.
