Boris (IT) presented a proposal to procure DocuSign software integrated with the county's Workday system to enable electronic signatures across county workflows.
IT said DocuSign and Adobe are the two primary vendors; DocuSign was recommended because its envelope feature avoids per-document signature charges and better matches expected county usage. The first-year contract proposed a 1,500-signature package at $7,413.12; staff estimated annual usage may settle around 2,000 signatures depending on uptake.
The County Attorney's Office reviewed the contract and staff planned to deploy the Workday integration around July to align with other systems work. Supervisors supported the procurement for operational efficiency and noted multiple county offices could benefit from reduced travel and paper processes.
The item was listed for formal board action at the next meeting.
