Commission approves several site plans and a Circle K conditional‑use permit

Commissioners handled several routine development applications and minutes approvals during the Oct. 16 meeting, including site plans for industrial and commercial parking uses and a conditional use permit for a Circle K fuel station.

Staff presented SP‑24‑27, a proposed 59,500‑square‑foot distribution facility at 120 Cherokee Trail, noting access requires GDOT approval and landscape buffers along Highway 99; the commission approved the site plan 5–0. The commission also approved SP‑24‑25 for a long‑term commercial office trailer and staging area at 190 Frontage Road intended for port escort operations (5–0). SP‑24‑266, a 672‑sqft trailer at 351 Martin Palmer Drive intended as a long‑term office, was approved with a recorded abstention (4–0, one abstain).

Staff presented a conditional use permit (CUP‑24‑7) for a Circle K convenience store and fuel station at 101 Mackenzie Drive; applicant representatives Sandy Owens and George Scarpalazes were present and confirmed there would be no overnight truck parking. Commissioners approved the CUP (vote recorded as 4–0 with one abstention noted).
