County updates ADA transition plan; lists completed projects and 12‑month priorities

Holmberg listed projects completed in 2024 that addressed access barriers — evacuation signage at six locations, an ADA water fountain at the Health & Human Services building, a Lone Pine library access ramp and Lone Pine Park gazebo ramp — and described ongoing projects such as courthouse bottom‑door replacement, an access phone in the courthouse annex and Diaz Lake play area improvements. He said the task force met six times in 2024 and that updated prioritization language and a transition list are included in the packet.
Board members suggested keeping completed items visible on the list and asked staff to integrate the ADA priorities into the county’s project management and budget processes so completed and pending work are tracked consistently. Holmberg noted some constraints — both money and staff time — that limit how quickly projects can be done.
What happens next: Task force and public works staff will continue work on the listed 12‑month priorities and coordinate with the project management office to align budget and scheduling.
