Board Adopts Zoning Map Amendment for Multiple Parcels

The Mariposa County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously Jan. 7 to waive a second reading and adopt an ordinance amending the county zoning map for a set of assessor parcels (parcels listed in the staff report). The planning director said the board conducted the initial reading Dec. 10 and the adoption would be followed by a 30-day enactment period.
Board members raised no substantive objections during the second reading and the motion to adopt passed 5-0.
The ordinance changes affected parcels from Mountain Home and Mountain General zones to Agricultural Exclusive pursuant to the planning department's general plan amendment recommendation. If no additional legal steps are required during the 30-day period, the land-use changes will become effective after enactment.
