Dougherty County approves jail engineering contract, waterproofing, resurfacing and other routine actions

The commission approved a series of contracts and agreements, including a not-to-exceed $500,000 engineering contract for jail mechanical upgrades, a $72,000 waterproofing contract for the government center, and a $2.3 million package of road resurfacings; it also extended an insurance-broker agreement, reappointed two tax-assessor members and tabled a reorganization for further review.
