Speaker 5 presented a resolution seeking to have local dispatchers officially recognized as first responders and distributed the document to the committee. "Our dispatches are actually not officially classed as first responders," Speaker 5 said, and added that the measure had "passed unanimously" before the 911 board and in law enforcement review.
