Spotsylvania board asks FAMPO to study New Post river crossing
The board voted unanimously to request that FAMPO study a potential New Post (eastern) river crossing connecting Route 17/New Post to Stafford/Route 3, directing staff to convey the county’s interest to the regional planning organization while noting funding and partner participation remain unresolved.

On Sept. 10 the Spotsylvania County Board of Supervisors directed staff to send a request to the Fredericksburg Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (FAMPO) asking the policy committee to study a potential New Post river crossing linking Route 17 (New Post) and Stafford/Route 3.
