The King County Planning and Zoning Commission handled a full docket on Oct. 9 and recommended approval to the county commission or approved administratively the following items:
- Item 4 (Ordinance 2024‑24): Hidden Canyon Holdings LLC — recommendation to rezone to Rural‑40 for cabin/nightly rental uses; motion carried.
- Item 5 (Ordinance 2024‑25): Chamberlain Ranch Holdings LLC — recommended rezoning 10 acres at the North Fork Road roundabout from agricultural to Commercial‑2 to align with adjacent commercial zoning; motion carried.
- Items 6–11: Multiple lot‑line adjustments and lot joiners in Swains Creek Pines, Meadowview Estates, Zion View Mountain Estates and related plats were reviewed. Staff reported required termination letters for easements were received for several items; commissioners recommended approval or moved to approve the lot‑joiners where no easements needed vacating. Motions carried by voice votes.
- Item 12 (moved up on the agenda): Hackbart amended plat — commission conditionally recommended approval pending submission of outstanding documents.
Most administrative plats and lot‑joiners were approved with little discussion; motions were moved, seconded and carried by voice vote. The commission adjourned at about 7:48 p.m.
