A reader on the Senate floor recited an Arizona State Senate proclamation designating February 2025 as American Heart Month, citing national statistics on out-of-hospital cardiac arrest and urging increased CPR training and AED availability. The proclamation noted that more than 350,000 people experience cardiac arrest outside a hospital each year and referenced the American Heart Association’s goal to double survival by 2030.
