Votes at a glance: Yamhill County commissioners approve multiple grants, appointments and fee changes

- IGA with Yamhill Soil & Water Conservation District (Agenda J2): Approved an intergovernmental agreement for a shared native and invasive plant specialist position, not to exceed $50,500 through March 1, 2025 (with annual renewals).

- Grants and amendments (multiple agenda items): The board approved an Emergency Management Performance Grant (EMPG, $88,502), a State Homeland Security Grant (SHSG, $75,000) intended for the county's mobile command center, and an amendment removing $205,695.74 in OHA public-health funding per staff presentation. Most motions were passed by voice vote (record shows ayes; roll-call tallies were not read into the record). The board also took multiple non-voting actions: directing staff to refine ordinance language on the dog-control code, asking staff to coordinate with adjacent owners to finalize easements for the Quarry Road parcel, and requesting staff follow-up on Dayton Landing deed restrictions and a possible sale or transfer to the city of Dayton.
