During consideration of the consent agenda, Trustee Thompson asked why residents frequently encounter door-to-door solicitors and whether businesses must file solicitation applications. Village Manager Knight responded that a solicitation application must be submitted, reviewed by staff and approved by the village board. He advised that if a solicitor lacks proof of licensure, residents should call 911 or direct the solicitor to village hall to complete licensing.
