FEMA opens Disaster Recovery Center in Sanderson; Helene application deadline extended to Nov. 12
A FEMA representative told the commission a Disaster Recovery Center at 15902 US 90 in Sanderson is open through Oct. 19 and that the application deadline for Hurricane Helene assistance has been extended to Nov. 12; she also advised residents to file insurance claims first and provided FEMA contact information.
