During its Dec. 7 session, the Tunkhannock Area SD board approved several routine contracts and payments. The board approved a three-year service agreement with Lifetouch for student fall photographs; administrators said the provider returns funds to the district for senior scholarships and the district does not pay for the service.
The board also approved application-for-payment requests for mechanical HVAC and door/hardware projects and discussed remaining contract balances, with administration noting one final larger payment for doors and another pending for Scranton Electric related to high-school work to be completed over winter break.
The district renewed its student information system for one year at a cost of $56,300 and approved van and bus transportation contracts as presented. The board accepted donations from Kate Crispin (recreation/game equipment for the intermediate center) and a $1,000 contribution from Consolidated Electrical Distributors earmarked for food purchases for families in need.
No substantial debate on these items was recorded; motions carried on roll-call votes.
