Senate advances S253 to study and improve building energy code compliance

S253 would continue the Building Energy Code Compliance Working Group, consider a transition to the Division of Fire Safety for code administration, require annual reports through 2030, and propose improvements to a contractor registry and compliance notices to raise implementation of residential and commercial energy standards.
