The building commissioner noted the conflict — one provision referenced blue stripes and the handicap symbol while another allowed yellow striping and a five-foot sign — and recommended aligning §400.235 with chapter 355. Several commissioners said blue is easier to see and would reduce confusion. "Make it the same as the 355 chapter," the building commissioner said. The commission indicated general agreement to adopt blue striping as the standard going forward.
No formal ordinance vote was recorded; staff will prepare the housekeeping changes for a future agenda as needed.
