WASD reports shrinking bus driver shortage and districtwide bus badge rollout
West Ada School District told the commission the driver shortage is easing and the district has implemented a mandatory student bus badge system across all schools this year, allowing route optimization and improved security.

Miranda Carson, representing West Ada School District, updated the commission on school transportation on Dec. 2, reporting that while a bus driver shortage persists, the shortfall is diminishing. Carson said the district’s newly mandatory student bus badge program has been rolled out to every school this year and has improved route planning and security. "We have, now rolled it out to every school this school year, and it's... mandatory," Carson said.
