Committee backs rule allowing more virtual continuing-education hours for podiatrists
The committee recommended a Board of Podiatric Medicine rule increasing allowable virtual continuing-education hours from 5 to 7, keeping the 15-hour annual total and setting an in-person minimum of 8 hours; the board had unanimously approved the change earlier in the year.

The Joint Government Operations committee voted Dec. 11 to recommend a rule amendment from the Board of Podiatric Medicine that increases the number of continuing-education hours that may be obtained virtually.
