Union County commissioners on Oct. 6 approved a budget amendment that formalized previously directed uses of funds: reallocating approximately $101,000 for law enforcement expenditures tied to the public safety complex and recording a $40,000 settlement payment to Delbert Smith, which the county coordinator said was accepted with conditions including payment within 30 days.
