The Norwalk City Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved a site plan amendment from 100 Norwalk LLC (Lowe’s) to create dedicated seasonal outdoor sales and outdoor storage areas and to restripe parts of the parking lot.
Isaiah Brown, a professional civil engineer with Langan Engineering representing Lowe’s, said the proposal formalizes existing activity: a dedicated area for seasonal sales such as mulch pick‑up, curbside pickup zones, and palletized outdoor storage for materials like lumber, mulch and concrete. Brown said the materials are bagged, wrapped and typically kept covered to limit runoff risk.
Brown told the commission the plan removes some parking stalls but — under the updated zoning code’s parking calculations — the site will still have a net surplus of 89 parking spaces. Staff noted a staff memo and draft resolution accompany the application.
A commissioner moved to approve the draft resolution; the motion was seconded and the roll‑call vote was unanimous in favor.
Next steps: staff will issue the resolution and update the project file to reflect the new site plan and restriping requirements.
