Human Services reports Section 8 payment disruption; HUD request pending
Human Services staff told the Police Jury that Community Service Block Grant and LAHEAP funds remain available but Section 8 voucher payments are experiencing a disruption; staff have contacted HUD to request funding through November and have notified landlords that payments may be delayed.

Erica Garrison, Human Services Department, told the Calcasieu Parish Police Jury on Oct. 23 that the department currently has necessary funds for Community Service Block Grant and LAHEAP programming but is experiencing a disruption with Section 8 housing choice voucher payments.
