The Addison Veterans Day ceremony was a community-focused event honoring local service members and featured musical performances, prayers, and short speeches. Speakers included an emcee who opened the program, Norm Bowens who delivered the invocation, Mayor Tom Huntley who reflected on the meaning of Veterans Day and described a hometown heroes banner program, and representatives from the Chicagoland Veterans Campus who outlined their mission and invited public engagement. Student groups participated: the Addison Trail Junior ROTC presented the national anthem; the Addison Trail Choral Ensemble sang “America the Beautiful”; and student leaders from the Addison Trail Veteran Support Organization described volunteer activities.
