The Jackson County Board of Supervisors voted Nov. 25 to adopt Ordinance 3‑19, a comprehensive rewrite of the county’s zoning code that county planners and the zoning commission say modernizes regulation, clarifies procedures and brings local rules into alignment with Iowa law. Chair Don Swicker opened a public hearing before the board approved the ordinance by voice vote.
