Osage County commissioners voted Nov. 18 to sign an agreement with the Kansas Department of Transportation to cover grant‑writing services for a bridge project.
County staff presented the contract and said it would reimburse the county for actual grant‑writing costs. A motion to authorize the county to enter into the grant writing services agreement with the Secretary of Transportation in the amount of $27,500 was made, seconded and approved by voice vote.
Commissioners discussed that the funding is part of a multi‑jurisdictional effort and thanked staff who helped position the county for the grant application. The board did not attach additional conditions to the approval during the meeting.
