Sonia Bannon sworn in to fill 3rd District alderman seat

By unanimous vote the board approved Sonia Bannon to complete the unexpired term for the 3rd District and administered the oath of office; she will assume assignments previously held by Holly Morenen.
Milford — Sonia Bannon was unanimously appointed and sworn in as the 3rd District representative on the Board of Aldermen on Dec. 1, filling the vacancy left by Holly Morenen.
The appointment was made pursuant to Article II, Section 6 of the City charter. Several aldermen spoke in support of Bannon’s nomination; the board then voted and the city clerk administered the oath. Bannon told the board, “I am very prepared. I have reviewed everything.” The clerk noted Bannon will assume Morenen’s committee assignments.
No opposition was recorded and the motion carried unanimously.
