MC cable for Itasca Station The board approved a staff-recommended motion to permit Holiday Properties to use metal-clad (MC) cable for concealed electrical runs at the Itasca Station building, subject to local conditions and consistent with the 2017 National Electric Code. Holiday representative Don Tomae said the measure would "save [the electrical contractor] from having to go through the building twice," and staff noted they had consulted the fire district and regional examples. The motion also directed staff to prepare an update to the Village Code to allow similar construction approaches for future projects.
