Stevens County’s emergency management office asked the Board of Commissioners to reauthorize the county’s hazard mitigation plan after being notified FEMA funding for the project was again available. The board voted to authorize the chair to sign a new certification and commit the county’s match, which emergency management said would be primarily in‑kind time and could require up to 25 percent cash if necessary.
