Commissioners pull ARPA funds for Spencer Library and approve multiple routine items
Summary

The Oklahoma County Board of County Commissioners voted to terminate ARPA project 30389 for the Spencer Library after staff reported Spencer had expended no allocated funds and efforts to secure additional funding had failed. District 1 staff said recent state auditor findings supported reclaiming the funds and recommended the chairman be authorized to sign a termination letter; the board voted in favor of the termination.
The board also approved a subrecipient addendum increasing funding for Northeast Oklahoma City Renaissance by $23,333.33 (bringing the award from $100,000 to $123,333.33), following a motion by District 1 staff. Commissioners approved a routine appointment of Ashley Robinson to a District 2 slot after staff said her employer, the Children's Center in Bethany, cleared the appointment.
Other approvals included:
- Signing an application for ETR funds for $314,000 to reimburse and construct a new bridge; the board approved the application. - Authorization for county road crews to provide concrete slurry and road-construction training to Logan County with full reimbursement of $90,000 for the service. - Acceptance of FEMA or federal emergency relief funds to reimburse prior flood repairs on Indian Meridian. - Renewal of an agreement with the State Fire Marshal that recognizes Oklahoma County as the authority having jurisdiction for certain inspections (the State Fire Marshal remains responsible for jail inspections under separate statute).
Motions on these items passed unanimously. Commissioners also reestablished the Oklahoma County Information Technology Council (naming the MIS director as an ex officio nonvoting chair) and confirmed primary/alternate commissioner appointees for the council.
