The festival representative thanked the commission and said the $5,000 sponsorship places the festival at a venue‑sponsor level.
The commission also reviewed Acres USA’s return visit: staff noted the 2024 event generated roughly 800 room nights and that the conference helps fill a traditionally slow booking period. Commissioners moved to approve the Acres USA request and the motion passed.
Both grants were approved with the condition that recipients submit a post‑event report, similar to last year’s reporting requirements, and staff said they will send formal award letters outlining reporting expectations.
