Lafayette Parks staff presented a contract for testing and inspection services for the Clumene Park zoo primate complex and the Board of Works approved the agreement.

John Minor of Lafayette Parks said the scope includes soil testing, soil compaction testing, concrete and masonry testing and steel testing. He said the anticipated cost of the services is estimated at $41,228, with work to begin next week and wrap up in January 2027. The contract was reviewed by the city attorney's office and the board approved it by voice vote.

Minor described the addition of testing services as standard oversight for a project of this scope; the transcript records no additional conditions or opposition.
